Funding for the Mother Teresa Maternity Home comes from three main sources – donations (both from individuals and organizations), fund raisers and grants. We receive no federal, state or local monies.
Fundraising activities and grants are both important, but donations really keep us operating. Some people give a small amount each month. Others donate in memory or in honor of a loved one. Churches and other organizations periodically give some financial support. We have a goal to increase our income from donations, any amount of support on a monthly or ongoing basis is greatly appreciated.
Please consider making a regular donation to the Mother Teresa Maternity Home a part of your charitable giving.
How Can You Help? As Mother Teresa herself said:
“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love.”
-Mother Teresa, MC (Missionaries of Charity)
We have been blessed by the kindness of many financial supporters for many years. Your generosity helps us to continue our services to those in need every minute of every day. Please consider making a monthly donation to help support the Mother Teresa Maternity Home in its mission of providing a temporary residence, in a safe environment, for pregnant women in need; to help them with referrals to existing community services and agencies, and to encourage communications with their families. Our funding comes from individual donations, non-governmental grants and fundraising activities.
Remember the Home
Giving used to be as simple as writing a check or dropping off old clothes at a charitable organization. But this type of giving, although appropriate for some, simply does not meet the tax-saving or estate-planning needs of many. Fortunately, today’s donors can take advantage of gifting strategies that can increase the benefits of their gifts both for the charity and for themselves.
Please remember your support of Mother Teresa Maternity Home in your estate planning. Discuss ways to help with your financial planning professional.
Day of Remembrance
You have the opportunity to remember someone in a very special way with what we call a “Day of Remembrance” For a donation of $650, the cost of running the Home for one day, you can pick a special date and it will be listed on a calendar on our web site for the entire year in memory of the person or persons you choose. An example:
John was adopted as an infant. His parents explained this to him at an early age. They not only celebrated his birthday each year, they also celebrated the day that he was adopted into their family. John’s parents have passed on but he has chosen to remember them on his “adoption day” with his donation to the Mother Teresa Home.
You too can make an important date even more special with your donation.
